Baguio Christmas Eve Dinner by Babeth Lolarga

Rolly and I thought of treating the family members in Pasig to a Christmas in Baguio. Money was set aside for the bus fares of Mommy, Suzy, Gigi, Pinky, Ida and Marga. Three-year-old Bianca still enjoys free fare. When they arrived on the afternoon of the 24th, there was warm spaghetti waiting for them that I had cooked. For Christmas Eve dinner, Rolly and I went to town to buy Sizzling Plate leche flan and to pick up roast turkey from kindhearted Auring Bautista, a Lolarga family friend who did the roasting gratis and with love. So back at home, we had Mommy's traditional morcon, I carved the turkey (powerful feeling there when you do that), served salad and mashed potato. We were so stuffed we couldn't stay awake for the midnight mass. We put off going to church the following day, the 25th. Rolly had a fire roaring in the fireplace. Nearby we posed in different hats from his collection.

Our way of saying Happy Holidays to All!
